Holiday Programme Activities:

Crash Courses:

Crash courses will be run for the first 5 weeks of the Summer Holidays. This will be 30 minute lessons at the same time each day. The aim of the courses is to build and improve water confidence in all age groups, to improve weak swimmers strokes and to give the younger ones an introduction to water safety and structured lessons. Children from the ages of three welcome. Many of the children begin to swim during the week's crash course. Crash courses are very useful if your child is nervous or frightened or is having difficulty during their normal lessons. Our crash courses are designed to help and to give children fun and confidence in the water.

Snorkelling

Introduction to snorkelling will be held in week one, two and week four of the holidays. Children will be taught how to use fins correctly and how to fit snorkels and masks without leaks! For the confident children we will learn how to surface dive and clear the snorkel without lifting their faces out of the water. A great way to practice before holiday! This session is 45 minutes long.

Flip and Fun

Flip and Fun is an introduction to diving. 45 minutes long. Children can learn the basics. Techniques will be taught to ensure the best entry for racing dives for those more confident. We will then progress onto the fun trick dives, somersaults etc!

Swimcamps

Swimcamps are a fun packed afternoon. Arrive at 12.30pm with a packed lunch and we will (whilst we eat) do a craft activity and get to know our new friends! We will then have a fun packed swim in the pool. Last year we built rafts to sail. During the pool time we will play games and use the inflatables. We will also be able to use the fins and snorkels. Once we are all worn out we get dry and have a snack and drink (provided by us). Then if there is time there might be a game or quiz at the end of the afternoon. Pick up at 4pm.
